La Isla is an exhilarating unscripted reality TV format where love is always in the air. Eight women and eight men looking to find their perfect match live together in a picturesque mansion or an island resort for 10 weeks, getting to know each other. The goal is to help these people find their soulmates and help them take the next step in their lives… with a fairytale wedding.
As the Lead Editor and Post-Production Supervisor for La Isla, a matchmaking reality TV show produced for the VOD platform VIX, I managed a highly coordinated international editing workflow tailored for a Latin American audience. While the show was filmed on location in Bodrum, Turkey, I was based in Miami, Florida, overseeing a distributed team of editors, assistant editors, and graphic designers across multiple time zones.
Working closely with VIX headquarters in Mexico, I led the post-production team through daily turnaround cycles, ensuring smooth communication between production, editorial, and the platform’s creative direction. The format’s fast-paced storytelling, cultural nuances, and emotional arc required not just technical finesse but also deep understanding of audience expectations in the Latin American market. My role encompassed team leadership, content adaptation for regional streaming, and maintaining a high standard of editorial quality under strict deadlines.
